Answers to Common Drum Lesson Questions

Do you teach beginners?

Yes! The majority of my students come in with no drumming experience.

Do you teach children?

Yes I do! 30 minute lessons for students 10 years of age and under are recommended.

Am I too old for drum lessons?

No! I have multiple students in their 50’s and 60’s. It is never too late to learn a new skill!

Will you come to my house to teach me?

Sorry, but no. I teach exclusively from my North York studio. I rely on having two drum sets at my disposal, and I find being in a foreign environment helps the student focus and retain knowledge.

Can you teach me how to play ______ music?

Yes, I feel very comfortable teaching a very wide range of musical styles. Whether you are looking to play anything from jazz to heavy metal, I can offer insights and exercises that point you in the right direction.
